Peripheral arterial disease (PAD) is narrowing or blockage of arteries that results in poor blood flow to your arms and legs. When you walk or exercise, your leg muscles do not get enough blood and you can get painful cramps. Symptoms could include cold extremities, cramping of legs with exertion, loss of color in the extremities. People at risk for peripheral artery disease include those who smoke, have diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. At Rancho Wellness we can help to screen for the presence of peripheral artery disease, its severity and whether it is responding to treatment. |
